In this video you see River Radika and Black Drin River forming the Dibra/Debar lake. After approximately 50 km (31 mi) it crosses the border to Albania, west of Diber/Debar, Macedonia. It merges with the White Drin in Kukës to form the Drin, which flows into the Adriatic Sea. It drains most of the eastern border region of Albania. If Radika is taken Albania will lose a lot of water! The Drin River is extremely important for the Albanian economy, especially for its electricity production. Four dams are built over its cascades producing most of Albania’s electricity.
